A Harborcreek Township woman who worked as a substitute teacher in the Harbor Creek School District has been accused by Pennsylvania State Police detectives of having sexual contact with a teenager she had had in class.

A third-degree felony charge of institutional sexual assault of a kid as well as misdemeanor charges of corrupting minors and providing alcohol to minors are being brought against Emalee M. Kedzierski, 28. On September 2, state police investigators announced the charges. Authorities claim that between June 1 and July 4, 2021, Kedzierski had sex with the teenage male, who was 17 at the time.

On Tuesday morning, Harborcreek Township District Judge Lisa Ferrick charged Kedzierski and later released her on her own recognizance. According to the online court docket, Kedzierski will likely show up in court for her preliminary hearing on September 28.

Kedzierski is accused of committing institutional sexual assault in connection with her work as a substitute teacher. However, there are no claims that Kedzierski and the youngster had intercourse at school in her criminal case.

The teen male was interviewed by investigators on June 2 in the principal’s office of Harbor Creek Senior High School, and that’s where they first learned of the relationship, according to the affidavit included with Kedzierski’s complaint.

The boy claimed that Kedzierski was a substitute teacher at his school during his freshman year when he first encountered her. According to the evidence in the affidavit, he said that they had previously worked together at a McDonald’s restaurant and that he would subsequently run into Kedzierski at the YMCA in Harborcreek Township. The boy indicated he and Kedzierski would speak at the YMCA, and in April 2021, they exchanged Snapchat contact information.

In June and July of 2021, the teen admitted to visiting Kedzierski’s home in Harborcreek Township three or four times. He claimed that Kedzierski bought cases of beer for him and gave them to him once, however the affidavit states that no alcoholic beverages were consumed in the home.

According to the affidavit, he admitted to state police that their relationship became sexual when he was in Kedzierski’s house and that they had sex twice out of the four times he visited.

According to state police, Kedzierski was questioned on June 3. According to the material in the affidavit, she informed investigators that she worked as a building substitute in the Harbor Creek School District and that, before to that, she was a long-term replacement at Rolling Ridge Elementary School. Investigators reported that Kedzierski claimed she occasionally used the teen as a substitute teacher and had him in her classes during her tenure.

State police said that Kedzierski acknowledged that the youngster had visited her home because she claimed that the teen hosts parties and that she supplies beer for those events. According to the affidavit’s facts, she claimed that she thought he visited her home three times.

According to Kedzierski, the kid only visited her home to pick up the booze that she had bought for him each time. Investigators noted in the affidavit that she claimed she typically spent $50 to $80 on booze at a time.

Investigators reported that Kedzierski eventually acknowledged having oral sex with the teen despite initially denying it.
