Julie Hoover, Point of Grace math teacher “twerked” on a student at prom, pressured him to drink

September 6th saw the arrest of a former teacher at a private Christian school who had previously been charged with sexting a student.

Julie Hoover, 39, is now charged with a new misdemeanor for aiding a child in becoming delinquent as well as a second felony for soliciting or participating in sexual behavior with a student.

The most recent allegations relate to the school’s prom on April 8. During the occasion, a student said Hoover was urging him to consume alcohol, even shoving the straw from her cup into his lips. An administrator claimed that after the incident, when the students had left, staff members had the wine in a back room to enjoy.

The student reportedly said that Hoover was “twerking” on him while he was on or near the dance floor, which bothered him. At least two additional witnesses confirmed the account and said investigators repeatedly intervened in order to stop Hoover’s amorous display toward the pupil.

Deputies claimed that Hoover was sexting with an 18-year-old senior at the school when she was originally arrested in June.

Records indicate that on June 2, the student’s mother got in touch with the sheriff’s department after discovering sexual messages between the teen and Hoover. According to court filings, the mother allegedly informed authorities that Hoover was planning for the student to sneak into her house when her husband was at work.
