A Learning Disabilities Teacher working for the special education department at Madison High School has been charged with a sex crime against a student, according to a statement released by the Fairfax County Police on Friday.

Allieh Kheradmand, 33, a resident of Reston, has been charged with four counts of indecent liberties by a custodian following her arrest on Thursday. Kheradmand has been employed by the Fairfax County school system since 2016 and was working as a Learning Disabilities Teacher for the special education department at Madison High School.

According to the police, the high school’s administration notified the authorities on Wednesday after a student disclosed an inappropriate sexual relationship with a teacher. Detectives conducted an investigation and determined that Kheradmand had been involved in unlawful contact with the student for the past few months.

In a letter to families, Principal Liz Calvert and Superintendent Michelle Reid confirmed that Kheradmand had been placed on administrative leave. The school administration has cooperated with the police and their ongoing investigation.

Kheradmand is currently being held without bond at the Fairfax County Adult Detention Center. The authorities are urging anyone with additional information about the case to come forward and assist in their investigation. The Fairfax County school system has also launched an internal investigation into the matter.

The case has raised concerns among parents and the community about the safety of students and the need for stricter measures to prevent such incidents from occurring in the future. The school administration has assured families that they are committed to providing a safe and secure learning environment for all students and will continue to work with the authorities to ensure that justice is served.
