Parker Brown, C.F. Pope Elementary fifth-grade teacher arrested on charges related to child pornography

Following their arrest in Leland, one of the instructors at Pender County Schools announced their resignation.

Parker Ethan Brown, a fifth-grade teacher at C.F. Pope Elementary, was detained and charged by the Leland Police Department on September 29th, according to the Town of Leland.

As of this time, Brown, who is 39 years old, is being charged with:

• 6 counts of second-degree sexual exploitation of a minor
• 1 count of third-degree sexual exploitation of a minor for the possession of child pornography
• 1 count of possession of drug paraphernalia

Pender County Schools and the Leland Police Department both state that there is currently no evidence linking these charges to any Pender County School pupils.

A bond of $250,000.00 has been set by the Judge.
