Zachary Lamm, Coker-Wimberly Elementary School health / physical education teacher charged with indecent liberties with a student
The Edgecombe County Sheriff’s Office reported that an arrest was made after a pupil at Coker-Wimberly Elementary School informed their parents about inappropriate contact by a teacher.
The sheriff’s office reported that as soon as it was informed, its detective division started looking into Zachary Warren Lamm, 31.
Lamm was arrested at his Spring Lake residence and sentenced for indecent acts with a kid after a nine-day inquiry.
The Edgecombe County Public School System stated that, at the same time the sheriff’s office was looking into the matter, it was also looking into Lamm. At this moment, it is unclear if the inquiry started prior to the involvement of the sheriff’s office.
On a $100,000 bond, Lamm has bonded out of the Edgecombe County Detention Facility.
