In connection with an alleged event involving sex with a kid, a former teacher and coach at Olathe Northwest High School in Johnson County, Kansas, has been charged.
Three counts of having illicit sexual relations with a person over the age of 16 have been brought against Steven A. Mesa, 47, and relate to events that are said to have taken place between July 1 and August 26, 2022.
Mesa had worked for the Olathe Public Schools for 21 years, according to a spokeswoman for the organization.
According to an agenda for the Board of Education, Mesa was fired on September 1.
The pupil is identified by the identical set of initials in all three counts against Mesa. Additionally identified as a potential witness in the case is SnapChat, Inc.
Unlawful sexual relations is a level 5 felony in Kansas.
