According to the Riverside Police Department, a lady who worked as a substitute teacher in the Inland Empire has been detained for allegedly sexually assaulting an underage girl.
September 8th, Morgan Leigh Martin, 25, of Riverside, was taken into custody by members of a child abuse task force in Riverside County.
After a woman came forward and said Martin had molested her in 2019 and 2020, Martin was the focus of an investigation.
The alleged abuse happened when the woman was still a minor.
Martin was detained after her arrest and is currently being held at the Robert Presley Detention Center on a $120,000 bail on charges of sex crimes against a minor.
According to the police, Martin spent many years working as a substitute teacher in Riverside and the High Desert region. The victim, in this case, may or may not have been a Martin student at the time of the abuse, according to the investigators.
