After police learned that Bryan Garcia, 22, of Garland, Texas, a teacher’s assistant at Mesquite ISD, was allegedly having an inappropriate interaction with minors, Garcia was charged with two charges of sexual assault of a child and one count of indecency with a child.
The Mesquite Police Department learned about a potential romance between Garcia and a North Mesquite High School student on August 29, 2022.
Following a meeting with Garcia to examine the accusations, school administrators contacted the Mesquite Police Department.
Garcia was talking with multiple pupils via phone apps, according to the police, and the offenses took place during the 2022 spring semester.
The day of Garcia’s arrest was August 30, 2022.
