A public school teacher in Johnston County is accused of several sex offenses, including the statutory rape of a kid under the age of 15.
English teacher Amanda Doll, 37, of Benson’s West Johnston High School was detained on September 2. According to online court documents, Doll was charged with three felonies: statutory rape of a kid under the age of 15, having intercourse with a student and engaging in indecent acts with a child.
Doll is being held on $1 million dollar bond. She had requested a lower bail so she could return home to her four children. The judge denied her appeal.
In court, Doll stated that her husband Eric Doll is preparing legal counsel for her. The judge nevertheless appointed her a court-appointed lawyer.
From August 11, 2021, to Friday, Doll taught English at West Johnston High, according to Caitlin Furr, a representative for Johnston County Public Schools. Beginning in May 2021, she had previously worked as a substitute teacher. She was terminated from her position with the school system the day she was arrested.
Given that she is no longer employed by the school district she will have more time to dedicate to her weight loss challenge!
