Mark Mallow, Woodlake Hills Middle School band teacher arrested for sharing child pornography files on Snapchat

After San Antonio police discovered child pornography files on a band teacher’s Snapchat account, the teacher was placed on administrative leave and is currently in jail for Judson ISD.

On Wednesday, August 31, Mark Mallow, 26, was arrested for having child pornography in his possession, a third-degree felony, and for promoting child pornography, a second-degree felony.

Mallow uploaded four photographs and one video of child pornography to Snapchat, according to an arrest affidavit.

The photo-sharing website notified The National Center for Missing and Exploited Children of the obscene media files on April 16. (NCMEC).

According to an affidavit, a Snapchat chat thread between Mallow and another user was discovered during the inquiry.

Through further investigation authorities identified the explicit files and traced the Snapchat account to its alleged owner, Mallow, and found files in the “Memories” section of the app.

We shouldn’t have sent that material on here, my man, one of them remarked. I’m worried.”

Mallow works as a teacher in the Judson Independent School District at Woodlake Hills Middle School.

According to court documents, Mallow is now being held in the Bexar County Jail and his total bond has been set at $180,000.
