A Cadiz citizen has been suspended from work at the Harrison Hills City School District after being accused of raping an adult.
A first-degree rape accusation has been brought against Clayton Crosier, 28, of 439 Park Avenue, Cadiz, in relation to an alleged event that took place last month.
Crosier was apprehended on July 30 by the Cadiz Police Department, according to Chief Ryan McCann. At his home in Cadiz, Crosier is suspected of raping an adult victim.
According to McCann, neither the reported event nor the school district where Crosier works took place on school property.
Crosier, a high school intervention expert employed by the district, has been given an administrative leave of absence from work because of the nature of the offense.
Crosier was released from jail after posting a $50,000 cash bond. He is due back in court at 9 a.m. Aug. 16.
