A Concordia Parish kid is accused of receiving pornographic images from a teacher and EMT from Louisiana.

Bradly J. Dyer, 26, of Colfax, was detained on Sunday, August 7, 2022, just before he was scheduled to start working with pupils at Grant High School, according to the Concordia Parish Sheriff’s Office.

Along with the images, the CPSO claims that its cybercrimes section also overheard the suspect and the 15-year-old having inappropriate talks. According to detectives, he met the youngster on Snapchat and had plans to prepare the adolescent for a covert connection.

“During the chats, he discussed to date the child. He sent numerous pornographic images of himself to the child. As the chats progressed, he stated he would have to keep the relationship a secret,” said CPSO Detective Stephen Lipscomb.

According to the Grant Parish Sheriff’s Office, Dyer hadn’t yet begun teaching. According to Lipscomb, Dyer has spent the past three years working as an EMT with Acadian Ambulance. He claims that Dyer informed the minor that his first day of instruction would be August 8 at Grant High School in Colfax, where he would be teaching EMT classes to 11th and 12th graders.

According to Lipscomb, their proactive hunt for child predators helped keep many kids safe.

“If these chats were not discovered then the subject would have had the opportunity to start a new job at the school and obviously be around children. I speak on behalf of our administration, and probably Grant Parish as well, and were happy he was apprehended,” Lipscomb said.

A bond amount hasn’t been set for Dyer as of Monday evening and Detective Lipscomb says if Dyer is convicted he could face up to 20 years in prison.
