Two counts of indecency with a kid and two counts of having an inappropriate relationship with a student are brought against Roy Franks.
He is accused of groping two kids indecently while they were Cedar Creek High School students. The assaults allegedly took place between March of this year and December of 2021.
According to court records, a grand jury indicted Roy Franks, 47, on two counts of second-degree felony indecency with a child and two counts of second-degree criminal improper relationship between educator and student (sexual contact).
According to a statement from Bastrop ISD, Franks was suspended from school and placed on leave after district human resources officials learned of the allegations against him on March 25.
According to the district, the Bastrop ISD Police Department looked into the occurrences and informed Child Protective Services and the State Board for Educator Certification of the allegations.
Franks left his position on April 6. According to court records, the instances occurred in early March and December of last year while he was employed at Cedar Creek High School.
