An ex-teacher from Gravette High School who was on parole was taken into custody for public indecency.
On July 15, Harry Don Almond, 69, was detained for Class A misdemeanor of public obscenity.
On account of a parole breach, Almond is currently being detained in the Crawford County Jail. He has entered a not guilty plea to the most recent charge.
Almond accepted a plea agreement in 2017 and received a six-year sentence for two charges of second-degree sexual assault.
He completed his three-year sentence in January 2020 and was granted release.
His conviction arises from offenses committed in 2015 when he made advances and touched a student’s genital region, according to court documents. The student was working additional hours at Almond’s house, helping him move and box some things.
Other allegations of sexual assault surfaced as the investigation continued.
There is no information yet on the date of Almond’s parole revocation hearing.
