According to the McMinnville Police Department, a teacher at a Dayton elementary school has been detained after having sex with a 10-year-old girl.
According to the authorities, after an investigation, Henry J. Claxton, 25, of Carlton, acknowledged having intercourse with the youngster in an interview.
According to the district website, Claxton teaches third grade at the Dayton Grade School.
According to police, the event happened in McMinnville at a “non-school-related site,” and the 10-year-old is not a student in the Dayton School District.
Upon being detained, Claxton was charged with one count of first-degree sexual abuse and lodged in the Yamhill County Jail.
