38-year-old Adam Duncan is accused of engaging in two counts of indecent acts with children as well as two counts of sexual exploitation of a juvenile.
According to court filings, Duncan allegedly captured images and video of a little girl in the bathtub who was naked and between the ages of six and seven.
The documentation records that a young girl questioned Duncan in the video if he was sending the videos to her mother at one point.
Deputies from Randolph County searched his equipment and found pictures and videos.
Documents also reveal that he repeatedly engaged in obscene behavior with the girl.
Randolph County deputies were asked if there are any further young victims.
According to a department representative, they are unable to provide more details because the inquiry is still underway.
Duncan was issued a $200,000 bond which he posted within 24 hours and was released.
The official confirmed that Duncan’s work with a nearby school system put him in contact with the victim or victims.
Duncan worked for the Randolph County School System from 2012 to 2021, then from December 2021 to May 2022, he was employed by Asheboro City Schools.
In Randolph County Public Schools, Duncan worked at Wheatmore High School, Liberty Elementary School, and Randleman Middle School.
Randolph County Public Schools Public Information Officer Tim Moody responded in an email confirming Duncan’s date of hire as 8/15/2012 and last date of employment as 6/4/2021.
“Mr. Duncan was at Wheatmore High School from 8/15/2012 to 8/18/2019. He transferred to Liberty Elementary School on 8/19/2019 and was there until 8/9/2020. He transferred to Randleman Middle School on 8/10/2020 and was there until his resignation from the Randolph County School System on 6/4/2021,”
According to records on file with the state, Duncan has an active teaching license in the areas of Mathematics 6-9, Mathematics 9-12, Health and Physical Education, and School Counselor. His license is set to expire on June 30 of this year.
