A CCSD teacher who was detained for having sex with a pupil was given a thorough account of their almost two-month-long relationship in the arrest report.
Following an investigation at Legacy High School that started in May, 34-year-old Cody Glass was detained on Wednesday.
The victim and Glass reportedly started talking after Glass told her that she could drop by his classroom whenever she wanted a break, according to the article. The victim admitted to the police that she frequently visited his classroom when she was unhappy over events at school.
The victim told police that Glass would listen to her and that things moved along at the beginning of March when they started exchanging Facebook messages and discussing getting together.
From March 16 through the beginning of May, the two spoke via Facebook and Instagram messages and audio calls.
The victim informed the authorities that she and Glass would meet up after school or during free time and that he would either pick her up or meet her at a nearby park.
According to the report, Glass once took the victim to his home. Police were informed by the victim that they shared alcohol and cigarettes and were forced to remain in his car since he lived with his mother.
According to the report, when the victim informed Glass she didn’t believe they should keep the relationship going in one of the last messages that police were able to find, Glass replied, “If change your mind hit me up when you’re 18. I’m still here for you if not.
According to the report, Glass told a CPS investigator that the victim “is a very brilliant nice girl with problems and he simply wants to help children.”
Since July of 2021, Glass had been a teacher in the district. He remains in the Clark County Detention facility where he was arrested on Wednesday.
