After reportedly engaging in sexual misconduct with a kid, a Columbus teacher has been arrested.
The Muscogee County School District reported to the Columbus Police Department on April 11 that a teacher at Jordan High School had engaged in sexual misconduct with a pupil.
The matter was sent to the Sexual Assault Unit of the Investigative Services for further inquiry. Kendrea Hardison’s arrest warrants were issued as a result of the inquiry.
Hardison turned himself up to Columbus police on June 16. She was brought into custody and is being held in the Muscogee County Jail on a $10,000 bail.
Hardison is charged with two counts of sexual assault by a person in a position of a supervisory or disciplinary authority, which is a crime in Georgia.
Hardison pled not guilty in Recorder’s Court.
Stay away from Jordan Vocational High School and two unnamed individuals were among the conditions.
