A Pasadena charter school instructor has been accused of making inappropriate contact with a kid.

Melissa Carrillo, 43, is accused of having an inappropriate interaction with a student.

Carrillo worked as an associate teacher at Richard Milburn Academy for two years when she became engaged with a teen male on campus, according to documents.

According to investigators, the problem was discovered after a public charter school supervisor heard whispers among students about a female instructor having sex with one of the male pupils.

Carrillo was recognized as the teacher at the core of the rumors after further research. Investigators also identified the boy with whom she was accused of having a relationship.

Investigators discovered graphic texts in the boy’s phone records after his mother agreed to an examination of his data.

Investigators discovered graphic texts in the boy’s phone records after his mother agreed to an examination of his data. The first set of text messages outlined in the documents appears to show the boy making the first move by complimenting his teacher on “how cute” she looked and how he was “just laying in bed without u.”

Instead of discouraging that line of talk, Carrillo kept it going, responding, “And you want me lying down with you?”

The text messages seemingly got more explicit with each exchange. Even their standard “good morning” texts contained graphic language, documents show.

According to court filings, Carrillo also addressed whether or not she was on birth control with the minor.

The two enthusiastically discussed some form of physical contact they allegedly made with one another following the completion of afternoon sessions one day in a series of text conversations.

The teacher’s text said, “I miss your lips. So are you glad you enrolled at RMA (Richard Milburn Academy),” and followed with another text saying, “I am definitely glad we met.”

An investigator noted in the document that “this portion of the text thread indicates that the complainant and the defendant were able to physically meet while at the school and kiss.”

Carrillo was charged on June 6. At this time, no information concerning her arrest or bond amount has been disclosed. It’s also unclear whether she’ll continue to work at the school.
