A Terrebonne Parish substitute teacher was arrested after an FBI and SUV investigation resulted in a search warrant being issued for a home where there was evidence of child pornography.
After his residence was searched, Eric Ball, 53, was detained. The FBI initiated a child pornography investigation, which discovered evidence linking Eric Ball to media depicting children under the age of 13 engaging in sexual behaviors. Ball was apprehended at his residence.
Ball worked as a substitute teacher at a Houma elementary school. He has also worked as a teacher at a school in Terrebonne Parish.
Ball was arrested on June 1, but on June 6, the Terrebonne Parish Sheriff’s Office said that Ball has been charged with an additional 99 counts of Possession of Pornography involving Juveniles Under the Age of 13 by the SUV.
Ball was arrested and detained at the Terrebonne Parish Criminal Justice Complex on the allegations, with no bond set.
