A teacher at a Brooklyn school has been arrested after a verbal altercation with a pupil escalated into a physical altercation.
Marquell Singleton, 30, was arrested on assault and endangering the welfare of a child charges on Monday.
The incident occurred Saturday at P.S. 178 Saint Clair Mckelway on Dean Street, according to police. Singleton allegedly shoved the 12-year-old pupil to the ground after a verbal altercation.
The nature of the conflict at the outset was unclear.
