According to McHenry County court records, a Lakewood man who works as a special education teacher in Sugar Grove has been charged with furnishing alcohol and marijuana to a juvenile.
According to the complaint filed in the McHenry County courts, Steven R. Ostergaard, 36, of the 9000 block of Lenox Lane, is charged with a criminal misdemeanor contributing to the criminal delinquency of a juvenile.
According to the Lakewood police report, Ostergaard is a special education teacher at Kaneland Harter Middle School. He was identified as a special education teacher on the school’s website as of Friday.
Between December 2020 and February 2021, he is accused of offering a person under the age of 21 drink and marijuana at his Lakewood residence on many occasions.
