A Carroll County substitute teacher and head varsity volleyball coach was arrested for child pornography.
Evan Thomas Harris Frock, 32, has been charged with four counts of inducing a minor to produce child pornography, four counts of distribution of child pornography, two counts of knowingly soliciting child pornography, and eight counts of possession of child pornography by the Carroll County Sheriff’s Office.
Frock was a long-term substitute and head Varsity Volleyball Coach at Westminster High School in Carroll County, according to officers, and may be or have been connected to other schools and sporting enterprises in the Baltimore area.
The school district said that Frock was fired from the school district on Monday.
“Mr. Frock is no longer employed by Carroll County Public Schools. His employment was terminated today,” Carroll County Schools said in a statement. “We are cooperating fully with the Carroll County Sheriff’s Office and their investigation into this matter.”
Frock also served at Liberty Christian School in Owings Mills as a Physical Education teacher and Athletics Director. He has not worked at Liberty Christian School since June 2020, according to school authorities.
“Of course, we are disturbed by these allegations, but we are confident that justice will be served once our criminal justice system completes its investigations,” they said.
A search warrant was executed at his residence on Courtland Street in Taneytown on Monday, according to the sheriff’s office.
Officials said the National Center for Missing and Exploited Children received Cybertipline Reports suggesting a suspect, later identified as Frock, had transmitted child pornography files using the social media app Snapchat between April 2021 and October 2021.
Investigators said Frock used the Snapchat usernames of volleygirlhan, volleygirl1025, laxguy2323 and pictures1025 to send, receive, and solicit explicit photographs and videos of underage females.
Investigators are working with school officials and the Carroll County Board of Education to identify additional student victims who may have had inappropriate contact with Frock.
