Sarah Noel Suggs, a former English teacher at Langham Creek High School, has been charged with sexual abuse of a minor under the age of 17.
The event occurred on Dec. 10, 2021, inside a car parked on the victim’s residential street, according to the charging paperwork. The student’s parents met with Langham Creek administration three days after the incident to alert them of unsettling information found on their son’s cell phone.
The 15-year-old girl, a Langham Creek High School student, had alarming information given to her by her parents. Text conversations were exchanged between the victim and S. Suggs.
Suggs’ mother received screenshots of sexual texts from her son, as well as a photo of him with hickeys on both sides of his neck.
The adolescent said things started on “Remind 101” shortly after he transferred into Suggs’ English class on Nov. 1, 2021, during an interview with CFISD human services.
Remind 101 allows teachers to communicate with students and their parents via the internet. They swapped cell phone numbers and began texting after hours, according to the victim. Suggs then took the message to social media, notably Snapchat, where she gave the victim obscene videos of herself.
Snapchat was used to send and receive photos and videos between the two, according to records. Suggs refused to let the victim keep the photographs and warned her that if the relationship was revealed, she would “lose everything.”
According to documents Suggs also contacted the victim as late as 1 a.m. on weekends, sharing images of her husband and family.
The Cypress Fairbanks Independent School District issued the following statement in reaction to the incident:
“As soon as the campus became aware of the serious allegation of an improper relationship between Sarah Suggs (a former staff member) and a student, Ms. Suggs was immediately removed from campus, placed on administrative leave, and law enforcement conducted a full investigation. Ms. Suggs resigned on 1-10-2022. These actions are intolerable and not representative of the staff at Langham Creek High School or CFISD employee standards of conduct.”
