A Bossier City teacher has been arrested by the Bossier Sheriff’s Office on suspicion of having an inappropriate relationship with a student.
Deandre Demar Council, 32, of Bossier City, was arrested on May 2 after detectives discovered an inappropriate contact between him and a student at the school where he worked.
During a questioning, the student admitted to detectives that Council had given him money on several occasions in the hopes of him sharing naked or clothed photos of himself. According to detectives, the adolescent was also given gifts and marijuana. Council allegedly shared pornography with him and at least one other victim, according to the student.
Council consented to meet with authorities for an interview before his arrest, during which he confessed to giving the student marijuana, money, and presents. He also admitted that he was the one who sent the pornography.
He admitted to removing some of his social media programs and images after an examination of his phone.
One count of Distribution of Schedule 1 Narcotics (Marijuana), one count of Indecent Behavior with Juveniles, one count of Contributing to the Delinquency of a Minor, and one count of Obstruction of Justice -Evidence were filed against Council. He was admitted to the Max-Facility in Bossier City. In this case, no bond has been established.
