Melissa Demmin, Niagara County teacher’s aide charged with sex crimes

In Niagara County, a teacher’s aide has been charged with sexual abuse and criminal sexual conduct.

Melissa Demmin, 33, was charged with having inappropriate sexual contact with two male students. After receiving a report from Niagara Academy, a Sheriff’s deputy designated as a school resource officer arrested her.

The events, according to the Sheriff’s Office, occurred this year. The investigation is being assisted by the Orleans Niagara BOCES.

Demmin was brought to the Niagara County Correctional Facility and will be arraigned soon.
