A Nettleton High School teacher has been arrested by the Jonesboro Police Department on suspicion of sexually assaulting a student.
In a news release from JPD on Tuesday, officials arrested Jermaine Thomas on one count of first-degree sexual assault and three other charges.
According to police, a Nettleton High School resource officer was notified of an “inappropriate relationship between a student and an employee of the school”, the department said.
During an investigation, authorities with the department’s Internet Crimes Against Children division allegedly “discovered evidence involving the teacher and a student.”
