A Clovis High School teacher has been accused of having sexual relations with a student.
Someone reported a student-teacher relationship that was inappropriate.
Amanda Hubble, 31, was arrested on Saturday and has since been released on bond.
She is a Clovis High School choir instructor who has been placed on leave while police investigate.
On Saturday morning, police executed a search warrant at Hubble’s residence.
Hubble was suspected of having an illicit relationship with a high school student, according to detectives.
Hubble is accused of having intercourse with a juvenile on many counts.
She has been a Clovis Unified teacher since 2016, and this is her first year at Clovis High.
According to police, the relationship was new and did not occur in the classroom.
As the investigation into the relationship continues, detectives will have a lot of evidence to sort through.
Clovis Unified says it is cooperating with authorities in the probe.
Clovis High’s principle wrote an email to parents informing them that the administration is taking the event seriously.
Meanwhile, police will continue their investigation, and the District Attorney’s office may bring charges.
